koya Haji memorial Muslim orphanage Vocational Higher secondary
School for Girls started functioning as an LP school in 1960.it was
upgraded as UP in 1961 and High school in 1966.LP section was
separated in 1972.It got permanent recognition in 1973.During the
early years,It was functioning as a mixed school.BUT in 1993 seperate
campuses for Boys and Girls were started.Now only girls students are
given admission in this school.First batch of SSLC students appeared
for examination in March.During the last 5 years,our SSLC results
was more than 98%.In 2014,15 march ,Our sslc result was 100%.1274
students ,including the 411 inmates of orphanage students are
studying in this school.
Vocational
Higher secondary section started functioning in 1994.There are two
courses offered in VHSE.MLT and MOBE.Admission is given for 25 seats
each for MLT and MOBE.MLT group provides
Physics,Chemistry,Biology,MLT,GFC and English,where as MOBE group
provides physics,chemistry,Biology,MOBE,GFC and English.35% of total
seats are reserved for the socially and educationally backward
classes as per Govt orders.10% seats arereserved for students,who
have studied SSLC from the same school.Different clubs and forum make
the campusalays active
NATURE
CLUB
Started
functioning in 2007.with a plastic free campus declared by Prof
Koyakutty,a noted environmentalist.Nature club has taken up projects
like forestation,Farming,Verm
composting,Tours&seminars.Mr.Riyas is the co ordinator
HEALTH
CLUB
Health
club is functioning under the leadership of SHAMILA K.This club is
conducting regular seminars,debates,poster,campaign and Talks.
JRC
JRC is
very active in the campus and it is organising personality
development programmes and conducts classes and seminars on the
importance of social service.smt.Kadeeja Kolappuram is in charge of
JRC
ARTS
CLUB
The
school gives much importance to sports and arts.Arts club is
functioning under the leadership of of RIYAS.Talented students are
given training regularly.The school has an Arts rooms for this
purpose
At
present there are 46 teaching staff, 5 Non teaching staff working in
this school.Out of this 11 are old students of Mukkam muslim
orphanage
